'The Blaze' Writer Trashes Governor Palin for Writing Trig Article

Monday, a writer for Glenn Beck's website The Blaze, took upon himself to trash Governor Palin for writing that beautiful article that was published over the weekend on the Daily Beast. Quite frankly, Beck's writer shocked me with his tone and lack of reason for posting the piece. So why did The Blaze host this nauseating garbage? Why did Beck's editors permit someone (a small man who writes just like a "progressive™" btw) to attack Governor Palin in this fashion, on this website?

The writer, who goes by the name "Eddie Scarry" wrote:

What’s the first thing that came to mind when you heard that Rick Santorum‘s special needs child was in the hospital with pneumonia late last month? I bet all of Mitt Romney‘s money it wasn’t Sarah Palin unless you are Sarah Palin.

He clearly tries to suggest that Governor Palin used the Santorums troubles to bring attention to herself. A disgraceful suggestion, especially since the Daily Beast reached out to Governor Palin to write the article, not the other way around. From HuffPo (emphasis):

But a Daily Beast spokesperson says the Palin piece was assigned last week following the news that Rick Santorum's daughter, Bella, had been hospitalized and he was briefly leaving the campaign trail.

"We asked Sarah Palin if she would like to share her personal story about life with a child with special needs upon learning about Senator Santorum's decision last week to place his campaign on hold to be with his daughter," the spokesperson emailed.

Scarry continued to embarrass himself by writing:

Of the roughly 900-word article, 123 of them relate to Santorum and his daughter Bella who was born with Trisomy 18, a disability similar to Down syndrome.

It’s all downhill from there. For more perspective, the names “Rick” and “Santorum” appear three times total and are all found in the first paragraph. The word “my,” in reference to Palin herself, appears 15 times throughout the rest. I didn’t bother searching for “I” and “I’ve.”

That would be because the Daily Beast asked her to "share her personal story," Mr. Scarry! And just how is it "downhill from there?" Did he even read her article? If so, does he possess a heart? Only an empty person could read the governor's words regarding her son and think they were a downhill track to anywhere. It was a touching piece, written from the heart by a mother who loves her son. Something that anyone with a special needs child could truly appreciate.

Which leads me back to Glenn Beck, who also has a child with special needs... He, of all people, should be able to empathize with what Governor Palin wrote in her article. Yet, his website allows this very small human to trash and demean the message she was sending. It's truly sad, but what else should we expect from website run by a man who once made his money from the Tea Party, and now suggests they're racists just like the progressives™ do?

What the Blaze is intentionally doing here, is misleading its readers into believing Governor Palin was supposed to write a piece about the Santorum family and their daughter Bella. Moreover, The Blaze obviously wants their readers to believe that Palin selfishly exploited what happened to the Santorums so that she could write something all about herself.

That’s the only explanation for why the Blaze counts the number of times “Rick” and “Santorum” are used, or why there’s a count of how many words are dedicated to the Santorums. Why would those word counts matter otherwise?

The lie the Blaze tells here, is one of omission. But it’s a lie nonetheless, because the truth happens to be the COMPLETE opposite. Which leads me to a bigger question…

What are we to make of the fall of Glenn Beck when we’re forced to use the Huffington Post to correct his site’s misinformation … about Sarah Palin?

Yes, what just flew past your window was a pig, because today ”the truth has no agenda” at the Huffington Post:

Nolte also mentions the little scuffle I got into with Eddie Scarry yesterday on Twitter, wherein he called me a "whore." I initially left this part out of my piece because I didn't want to distract readers from my purpose for writing it. That, and I really don't care what this person calls me. I've been called many names in the past for supporting Governor Palin, all by folks who don't know a thing about me. And I'll admit that I'm not totally innocent in this either. I did refer to Mr. Scarry as a "jackass." Where I come from, that's what you call someone for doing something stupid but it's not an indictment on their character. It turns out that Mr. Scarry is worse than a "jackass" but I'll refrain from anymore name-calling.

The important thing to remember is that as long as Mr. Scarry posts on The Blaze, Glenn Beck is essentially endorsing his words. All of them. The most troubling of course, were those words used to trash Governor Palin for doing what was asked of her.

David Plouffe Trashes Palin, Rush, Beck, and Most Americans

Barack Obama's political adviser, and the winner of the 2009 "Marketer of the Year" award for his role in the 2008 Presidential campaign, David Plouffe, trashed Governor Palin, Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck Sunday morning. Politico reports the following, from an interview Plouffe gave to NBC's "Meet the Press" (emphasis mine):

President Barack Obama's political adviser, David Plouffe, on Sunday called Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin the leaders of the Republican Party — and also a "problem" for the GOP in this fall's elections and beyond.

Plouffe emphasized the "intolerance" and "extremism" of the tea party and of the right wing of the Republican Party as both a short-term and long-term electoral problem for the moderate GOP, citing their attacks even on conservative senators such as Tom Coburn of Oklahoma as an example of how narrowly they have tailored their messaging and base.

"Right now — and this is a problem for them — I do think Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, they are the leaders of the party," Plouffe said on NBC's "Meet the Press." "There is an intolerance in that party and an extremism that I think is where the real energy is, and so I think you'll see in '11 and '12 with that presidential primary, those are going to be the people who come

Tea-party-backed candidates — from Sharron Angle in Nevada, Rand Paul in Kentucky and, most recently, Joe Miller in Alaska — have enjoyed high levels of success in primary battles, but Plouffe and the Democrats are banking on the hope that these candidates will alienate independents and more moderate Republicans.

With Limbaugh, Beck and Palin emerging as the leaders of the GOP, and edging out more mainstream Republicans, Plouffe said Democrats could make gains in specific races across the country.

"That's going to be a problem [for them]," Plouffe said.

Considering Plouffe is a message guy, this is clearly going to be the track the White House takes in dealing with their political opposition. What he does in this interview is an attempt to demonize and marginalize the most effective and outspoken leaders in the conservative movement. By doing this, Plouffe is not only trying to taint the perceptions of voters by using such incendiary language as "extremism" and "intolerance." He also attempts to scare the more moderate members of the Republican Party by claiming that the people he just painted as 'extreme' are their leaders too, so they might want to do something about that. Obviously an effort on his part to create division within the GOP.

Just as many others on the left have done in recent days, Plouffe provides no real examples to back up his charge that conservatives are 'extreme' or 'intolerant?' He did say a crowd in Oklahoma "attacked" Senator Coburn for saying that he thought Nancy Pelosi was "nice." However, that crowd did not get violent, and as far as I know Governor Palin, Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck were not in attendance there. No, David Plouffe is just throwing those terms out there, providing no real examples, and hoping they stick.

You can bet that we are going to hear a lot more of this kind of thing from the left as they gear up for the upcoming elections in November. Regardless of the fact that this technique backfired on them during the health care debate. You can also be sure that the White House friendly media won't ask any of these people like Plouffe to back up their accusations with any concrete facts.

The Obama Administration are the ones guilty of holding extreme positions, and then forcing them on the American public, against their will. The most recent Rasmussen poll states that only 24% of Americans "strongly approve" of the job Mr. Plouffe's boss is doing. While only a whopping 42% approve at all. Those numbers are very low for the president, so this effort by his staff to demonize his vocal opposition doesn't surprise me in the least.

It should be noted that Governor Palin, someone Plouffe tried to paint as 'extreme,' actually stands with the majority of Americans on the major issues concerning our country. As Sheya pointed out recently, "on abortion 52% agree with Palin; on immigration 55% agree with her; on smaller government 63%; on taxes 66%." She does not hold 'extreme' positions and she is not 'intolerant.' Considering the numbers, I think David Plouffe should look at his own party and his own boss before trashing the views that a clear majority of Americans share with people like Governor Palin, Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck.

The Dangerous Drivel of Joe Klein About Sarah Palin

You can safely say that Joe Klein has had his knives out (note to left-winger's, that was a metaphor) for Sarah Palin since about five seconds after she delivered that outstanding speech at the RNC convention back in 2008. Given his well displayed ideology, you know he was never a fan but he seems to have taken to attacking her as his personal crusade. Her speech was fantastic overall, but she hit Obama with a dose of ridicule and harsh facts. For the first time this nation got a few laughs at Barack's expense.. Joe's thin skin in regards to his hero candidate, could not contain any sense of composure or professionalism. Ever since, the leftist media, spearheaded by Klein who posted that night "I hope my colleagues ... stand strong," have been on a mission to silence, if not totally destroy her.

One year and some months later, the White House lap-dog, pseudo-journalist Joe Klein is back at it. Unable to cope with any dissent or debate from private citizens against the almighty Obama administration, all criticism shall be deemed "sedition" by a man that just spent eight years criticizing a government run by the former Bush administration. Hypocrisy? Stupidity? How about both..



So without listing any examples, Klein accused both Glenn Beck and Governor Palin of sedition while his colleague charged Rush Limbaugh with the same crime. And YES, sedition is still a crime in this country. He said:

"I did a little bit of research just before this show - it's on this little napkin here. I looked up the definition of sedition which is conduct or language inciting rebellion against the authority of the state. And a lot of these statements, especially the ones coming from people like Glenn Beck and to a certain extent Sarah Palin, rub right up close to being seditious."

He should have done a little more research...

He says they have been "inciting rebellion." Who were they inciting? What kind of "rebellion?" When did either of them incite? Where were they when said "inciting" occurred? And why are they inciting a "rebellion?" Amazing state of the industry when the king of Time magazine can't even cover these basics and isn't called out by a panel of media and political "experts" witnessing this melt down.

Klein is now doubling-down on his comments with a blog post for the April 19th edition of "Swampland" stating:

"This has caused a bit of a self-righteous ruckus on the right. Let me be clear: dissent isn't sedition. Questioning an Administration's policies isn't sedition. But questioning an Administration's legitimacy in a manner intended to undermine or overthrow it certainly is."

Okay, so exactly what quote then lead Klein to think either Beck or Palin were "questioning an Administration's legitimacy in a manner intended to undermine or overthrow?"

I'll bet he nobody in the media asks him these questions so he certainly doesn't need to worry about those 'detail' things. However, as Jeff Poor from Newsbusters points out, Klein may be guilty himself of breaking the Journalist Code of Ethics:

"But do these accusations from Klein, along with New York magazine's John Heilemann, rub right up close to being journalistically unethical? By definition, since sedition is as categorized as a crime and based on the Society of Professional Journalists' Code of Ethics language on criminal reporting, reporters should "minimize harm" and "ethical journalists treat sources, subjects and colleagues as human beings deserving of respect," including:

- Be judicious about naming criminal suspects before the formal filing of charges.
- Balance a criminal suspect's fair trial rights with the public's right to be informed.

But despite Klein's edging up to the lines of journalistic malpractice, based on these well-defined standards, it is also curious that he would accuse Beck and Palin, along with Heilemann accusing conservative talker Rush Limbaugh, of the same charges the Obama administration is pressing against the Hutaree, a so-called Christian militia based out of Michigan."

Back in February, vying for a super meme twofer, Klein wrote an article called "The Dangerous Drivel of Sarah Palin." He was trying to paint Governor Palin as some sort of "dangerous" political leader using her megaphone to stir up "hatred" against the Obama regime. Opps, did I say "regime?" I meant, administration... He tacks on the word "drivel" to the headline to tap into the ever present "stupid" meme (a lie that will not die so long as she is a beautiful woman) and there you have it. A 'stupid seditious danger' to the "transformation" of America.

This is the theme of the day for the left and their press operatives. From Bill Clinton's disgusting comparison between Timothy McVeigh and the Tea Partiers, to the racial non-incident, incident on Capitol Hill the day of the Obamacare passage, to this nonsense. They will label us all as extremists so long as we disagree with their agenda. Given the current state of the government-media complex, I think the only "dangerous drivel" is spilling from the likes of Joe Klein and other would be Chris Matthews Show panelists.
